Panama Viejo

Panama Viejo is the site of the 16th century ruins of the original Panama City, the first city founded by Spain on the West coast of the Americas. It was the main transit point for treasures from the Incan Empire in Peru. The treasures lured pirates, and the city burned in an attack by English pirate Henry Morgan.
